Ugly blogskin is finally gone, but gone are the links and pics too. :(
Latin lesson yesterday again after the long-but-not-so-long rest. Sam commented that I slimmed down. Did I? Not dancing = Slim? Wells wells, the entire lesson was spent doing rumba checks, and first question I ask was....is my arm supposed to be tensed? Toned versus Tensed. Answer is "No". It's very relaxed, with just enough energy to lift the arm up, the focus should be on the body. If the arm is tensed, so will be the body. The result: The lead will become heavy.
Lesson 2: Don't grip the floor with the standing foot. Grip with the free foot.
Lesson 3: Closeness. We don't "touch" to achieve closeness....go as close as possible, when doing the turn & sliding door without the T-shirt even touching the partner. This is dancing. Not demonstrating the steps.
Lesson 4: Michelle taught the "and" counts. Part weight on the 2, 3 4 counts. Hip movements vary in the 4 counts.
techniques....presentation....breathing....
