FEEL THE BEAT

An eventful day on the 26th October 2008, Sunday - 21st SIngapore International Ballroom Dancing Championship organised by Sunny Low Dance Studio. It has been really long since I did not even get into the semis... haa... But I know I have been doing more in every competition. And I learnt alot more from others...and I just know, that, we will get stronger soon. I just know, and I believe in Annie's teaching, and my partnership. :)

It was my very first attempt in the Amateur category. Samba was not as bad as I expect....heee, considering I only learnt 2 months back? Managed to finish the entire dance, not too uglily la. :P I got to know the kids better too, and Annie as well...I was really glad that she kept pointing out tips telling me the mistakes, and what I can do better when we watch the rest dancing. She is really like a 'whip' forcing me to keep on improving. The next comp is in 2 weeks time, and I believe we can do better than this round. Keep believing!

I'm finally able to enjoy a Saturday afternoon, all by myself, at home...with fluff. My mind has been so packed with unnecessary things, and was really draining away all my energy. I refuse to recall the last few days...all I know is, I wasn't being myself. Everything starts again today...a brand new day, a brand new me. I hope. *optimistic*

Went to Sentosa Golf Club yesterday for our first department team building event, organised by Focus Adventure. I was the first few to reach, surprisingly...but all thanks to jQ who ferried me. :) Honestly, I went without expecting anything from it...and was doubtful if people will be participative. Perhaps, no expectation is good...anything better will be a bonus. True enough, I just participated in the games, and did everything the instructor told us to....and I can say I did not waste the day. I found out that I have really improved as a person over the years, hmm...or maybe I should say I found that I have become wiser. I was able to give suggestions during games, and wasn't afraid to be challenged. I found out something new about myself too, during a self profiling exercise. I was being analysed as a highly influencial person, and was characterised as a leader. But the leader aspect was more on people management, someone who does well in relationship matters. Wells...there was something very true about the profile. It says: greatest fear = rejection. haha.

I must say that I wasn't in the best condition yesterday. Yet I spent the entire day out....After the team building, I went for dance practice. SW came late, and I was so exhausted I dozed off a few times. What we learnt from the practice, though short, was that the 'and' counts for chacha makes a big difference. The dance has to, nevertheless, be still executed with equally big body actions, which is the challenge for us now. As for rumba, the body rotation has to be slower, stronger...we can do it with extremely slow music, so now, we got to continue with that even with faster tempo. Samba needs alot more practice. The routine, the direction, are still not too clear. 2 weeks more to the next comp. Focus.

After the dance, which was already 11...I proceeded to Adelyn and Jun's bdae celebration at Le Bar. Urgh, I was half dead and v v v hungwwweee. Yet, we played dice and drank Martel! The night was good...and by the time I reached home, it was 4+. Happy Birthday girls~

K, Fluff is having his afternoon nap. Me too! Yawnz.

I can't fall asleep, though I seriously don't feel well.
Ann and company have left SG...and the time spent with them, though short, always feel like a dream, that I don't want to wake up from.
I've promised to visit them in HK next year again, with jQ.

nights.
ALL will be well again.

Brother just told us he is gg to Iran to work! Umm...
Wells, what can I say?
Many things going thru my mind now....
Bye world. To sleep...
